I spent some time last weekend at my brother’s place and my sister’s place. My sister showed me one of her son’s “Blake” stories that he had written. Blake is only 7 years of age and he typed this on 4 sides of a card. Whilst the English and grammar was not 100% accurate, Blake did a great job for a 7 year old and we were all very proud of him. I have probably done some mistakes here. lol

Below is what Blake wrote. It not only shows great English skills for his age, but reminds us of the fantastic imaginations that children possess.

Flat Blake

Once upon a time at midnight in Chine Blake went for a walk.

He got to the park and then the playground fell on him. In th morning he woke up. Then some people came and picked the playground off of Blake. He thanked them and realised that he was Flat Blake. Then he went home.

His family kept on staring at him. His son, Ben lost his toy behind the fridge. Flat Blake went under it and got the toy back. His son was happy. After tea Flat Blake went to bed. In the happy morning Flat Blake had breakfast. Then he went to the Doctor’s. He was called Declan. The Doctor said “Sometimes it is good to be flat.” “Why” “Because you can do lots of things that other people can’t do.” “So what’s good about that?” “Don’t worry Blake.” “Bye.” Then Flat Blake went home and sat down, he watched some T.V where he heard that a cat had got stuck in the tallest tree in the neighborhood. Do the he turned himself into a kite and saved the cat. He went home.
A month later people kept laughing at him. So he went home and had a good idea. “I will drink lots and lots of water.” So he did. But it didn’t do anything. He felt sad. So he went to bed. In the morning he was going to work. When he came to a voodoo shop and bought a potion. Then he drank it and ‘Pop!” He was 3D again.

I left Brisbane airport on Sunday the 18th May and detoured via Sydney so that I could share a flight with Alpha Leader Jennifer. We arrived in Dallas at night, via Los Angeles, and went to La Quinta Inn via a free shuttle bus.

La Quinta Inn was a great place to stay and I must thank Gary for organizing it for us. La Quinta provided a wonderful buffet breakfast included in the price and the staff was very friendly.

During the morning we were packing our belongings to go to a log cabin that Alicia had booked for us, when I noticed a tornado chaser van. Being a meteorologist, I was keen to talk to the guy about his tornado ventures. He did not have too much time to talk, but he mentioned that due to the sophisticated equipment in the van that they usually find at least one tornado in a 2-3 week trip. Gary drove a hire car to Whitney. Thanks again Gary for organizing that and also for driving. Gary is great for organizing things. He had the assistance of a global navigation system with Sean Connery’s voice (very entertaining listening to instructions from a Scottish voice, “turn right, keep left”). Veit also helped navigate and did a great job, as Sean was not always right. While travelling on the highways I was glad that Gary was driving rather than me. It was so confusing compared to what I am used to back in Australia.

We also noticed the amount of large cars on the road. I guess that people may buy smaller cars in the USA eventually due to rising fuel costs? We had a break on the way to Whitney and I took the photo below of Veit, Evgania, Jennifer and Gary in front of the hire car.

To get to the cabins we had to stop at a security gate in order to get permission to enter the reserve. Alicia told us later that Stephen and her stayed at one of these cabins before they bought the property that they now live in. The cabin had a queen size bed and 3 single beds upstairs, so it was cozy for us all. There was a golf course nearby too. I found it amusing that on the front door it had a sign saying “in case of tornado”. Apparently tornadoes are quite common, but luckily for us none got too close to us during our stay.

During the late morning we drove to Stephen and Alicia’s place. Alicia showed us around the house while Stephen was cooking a BBQ for us. The house was large, well presented and very clean and tidy.  I noticed that the cielings were very high too. Stephen did a great job with the BBQ, and seeing that there were 3 vegetarians out of the 6 Alpha Leaders (Sern Yi stayed at the house), there was plenty for me to eat. It was very nice too.

During our stay, 3 days, both Stephen and Alicia offered us tips for progressing with our Internet marketing projects. I certainly gained some great insight from them both and I really appreciate their hospitality and assistance. We also got to use the facilities that Stephen uses for DTAlpha Talkback for recording some audio products. Jennifer, in particular, made great use of this. 

On the second day, we all went for a boat cruise on Lake Whitney. Stephen seemed to be very content driving the boat. Some of us went for a swim in the lake. The water was fine.

We also watched a movie in their cinema.  The cinema had comfortable reclining chairs that had popcorn and drink holders and they vibrated with some of the actions in the movie. There was also a massage chair available for us to use at any time. The Alpha Leaders spent most of their time in the training room.

I was fortunate to meet Alicia’s mother, Ilona. Ilona helps out Alicia and Stephen with their business and she also did much of the cooking for us during our stay. Not only was Ilona a good cook, but I loved her company. Ilona told me that she was born in Guyana and moved to Canada when she was 15. She loves the cricket and I am hoping that she visits me, as promised, in Australia some time so that we can both attend the cricket together.

It was sad to leave, but we had to go to the Sheraton Hotel for our next adventure. That being WIS Dallas. Below is a photo taken by Gary of Sern Yi, Evgania, Veit, Jennifer and me in front of Stephen and Alicia’s place before departing to Dallas.

You see, Darwin is a very hot and humid place to be at during December and some of her relatives were coming from a cold winter in Scotland to attend. The bride’s (Michelle) family mostly came from Melbourne. In any case the wedding went very well and I was glad that I participated in it.

Maureen and I left on a flight on Thursday night which arrived in Darwin just before 1am. I had caught a cold in the 3 day period between UYMG Sydney and the flight which made me have problems with my ears for the 1st time on a flight. I can now relate to those poor people who suffer from it.

John and June, Maureen’s brother and sister in law, were kind enough to let us stay on the 12th floor of the Marrakai apartments with them, however when we arrived they had fallen asleep and Maureen had trouble getting them to answer their phones. I thought that we were destined to sleep on the bench in front of the Marrakai, but June finally awoken to let us in.

I thought that the apartments were very nice and on the 12th floor there was a large balcony with 180 degree views of the city. Some of the views can be seen in the photo above and also the one just below. The fire season had finished, so the visibility was very good.

On the Friday morning, we awoken and prepared for the wedding. I had pre-planned a joke where I would wear a kilt that Maureen had made for me, along with a pair of thongs and a vest with Yosemite Sam on it.  The idea was that it was 1/3 Scottish, 1/3 Aussie and 1/3 fun. What we did not realize was that Colin, the best man, had decided to wear a real kilt. You can see him in the photo below next to John and John’s dad (also named John).

After a bit of a laugh, I got dressed into some more sensible clothing (although the kilt costume may have been cooler) and we all caught a bus to the ceremony.

Family and friends piled into the registrar to see the ceremony between John and Michelle. The matron of honor was Michelle’s sister “Nicole”.

Afterwards we waited outside the registrar for a bus and I managed to get a lovely picture of John and Michelle with John’s parents (John and June).

Lunch was at the Buzz Café at Cullen Bay. Not only was the food and service really good, but the view of the marina was great too. Also, anyone needing to visit the toilets had a surprise coming their way. The men’s trough had a one way mirror where you watched people dine while you did your business. The toilet seats had red back spiders embedded in them.

After lunch we returned to the Marrikai for some speeches and then we went to the sailing club at Fannie Bay for the night. I actually snuck in a little nap before going there, as I was still not that well.

The band there was great and when I arrived people were dancing and having fun. Beer was available from kegs and late in the night someone bought out some fire starter drinks.  Apart from some Tabasco sauce, I am not sure what else was in them. They did clear my sinuses a little though.

It was great to catch up with the people there and it was also nice to meet some of Maureen’s family. Some think that the Scottish are mad, but if you look at the video taken of David (June’s brother, who also attended the wedding) earlier this year, then you may make your own mind up.

When we arrived, I noticed that many of the people that attended were females. So if you are a single male, then you may want to consider going to such a performance. lol.

John mentioned some interesting stories at the start, including his personal experiences with mediums many years ago. He seemed impressed at how spirituality has grown over the years. 

He mentioned how he liked to return home with a funny story to tell.  As it turned out that funny story developed in Sydney. He mentioned that he went into McDonald’s and when he was about to go out his spirit guides told him to go back in.  He trusted his spirit guides and then went back in. Afterwards, he went back out and was about to walk back to his hotel but his spirit guides were suggesting that he should not go that way. So he walked in the other direction. After a while he found himself in the presence of 3 individuals dressed in suits. He had no idea what they were about, but they were asking him if he was the Gate Keeper. As it turned out, they were from the ABC program “The Chaser’s War On Everything”.

Anyway, it looks as though John has spirit guides with a sense of humour, if you believe in spirit guides of course.

Maureen and I were happy that we got to see the John Edward show, although we probably will not go again. There were quite a lot of people there and it seemed that many of the people who needed to get readings and got them struggled to understand what was going on which dragged the readings out. We would have liked to have heard more readings in the performance.

How does it work?  I do not know the full details, but we were required to place both of our hands on pads that had sensors on them. These pads were connected in some way to a special camera. A picture of this camera, pads and its specifications can be seen here. I suspect the sensors picked up the temperature or electro-magnetic energy of different parts of your hands and that determined the colours that showed in the final product, but that is just guessing.

Anyway, I was brave enough to get my photo taken first. After almost 2 minutes the lady who took the photo gave it to me. It showed a magnificent display of Pink, Red and Orange colours surrounding my body. This photo was different from any of the others that I had seen others get. It was then Maureen’s turn to get hers done. The lady that took Maureen’s photo was very surprised when she saw Maureen’s aura. The photo showed an aura almost identical to mine. We were all amazed because everyone elses auras were quite different to those of mine and Maureen’s. You can see the results for yourself below. After we were given our photo’s we were then entitled to a reading. The lady who gave me a reading told me quite a few details, but the main point that I remember was that I have a lot of passion about a project at the moment and that the project will succeed due to the great creativity I possess. I took it that my internet marketing was about to kick off. Strangely enough, shortly after I became a student of Stephen Pierce and my interent marketing has begun to take a turn.

We were given a colour interpretation as well and I will share it below.

Red – The first colour of the spectrum represents fire, passion and vitality.
Orange – This colour relates to ambition, drive and lateral thought. Self expression is important.
Yellow – The colour of the intellect. Yellow also shows an affinity to variety and happiness.
Green – The central colour of the spectrum, Green signifies balance. Healing and teaching are enhanced.
Blue – Peace and truth are associated with Blue, showing an ability to demonstrate sensitivity and contentment.
Violet – The mystical, magical colour. Eroticism, charm and enchantment can appear with Violet.
Pink – A light shade of Red. While active, the added White modifies the vibration to create the love colour.
White – A combination of all the colours, representing the ability to tap into all energies.

Both Maureen and I feel that having similar auras means that we possess similar energies near us that assist in the attraction between us.

In this blog, I intend to share some of my knowledge in areas that I have become knowledgeable in (mostly internet marketing and self development).  I also will show off some of my family and friends. I hope that you find it interesting and useful.

I will eventually go into more detail with the About Me page, but I shall give you some brief details here first.

I was born in South Australia in the countryside, but moved to Adelaide when I was 4. I then moved to Melbourne when I was 21 and a year later moved to Queensland. I still live in Queensland today.

While growing up as a child, I had a passion for sport, nature and mathematics. I was also obsessed with statistics when I was quite young and my parents were amazed how I would spend hours recording statistical information on almost anything.

I completed a science degree and then did honors in Meteorology and Oceanography. I have had almost 20 years experience as a weather forecaster, but my main passion at the moment is in internet marketing. I recently decided to have Stephen Pierce as my mentor. He is an amazing man who has been exceptionally successful in internet marketing and is more than worthy as a mentor for me.
